Elita Genetics is creating Australia’s first pet stem cell bank. Yep, you heard us. A pet stem cell bank. Why a pet stem cell bank, you may ask? Well, put simply, they aim to enhance veterinary care in Australia by providing access to globally proven advanced treatments for chronic illnesses.
Starting with existing medical advancements in stem cell isolation, they have decided to apply and incorporate the most recent breakthroughs in stem cell technology and are extending this into pet care.
Essentially, they are looking to offer pet owners access to more effective, personalised therapies that will inevitably go beyond conventional treatment offerings.
Paloma and Jackson, the co-founders of Elita Genetics, are the proud owners of Edgar Allen Paws—potentially ‘the goodest boy at CoLabs’. This pretty pooch is what prompted them to pursue this entrepreneurial endeavour. They have only been with us for two months! So stay tuned for further updates!
